えふたブログ

「えふたらぼ」管理人T-FTA(てぃー・えふた)のブログです。 普段思ったことを、思考整理も兼ねて、ただただつらつらと書き連ねます。またライティング練習のため、たまに英語でブログを書きます。 I'm a Japanese who learns English. In order to improve my English skill, I've decided to write blogs in English. I sometimes make mistakes such as writing wrong words or choosing incorrect grammar. If you find those mistakes, please be kind and accept it(^_^). Thank you.

Reading something you really like is good for learning.

When I try to learn English but am exhausted, I read comic books(MANGAs) such as Dragon Ball or Death Note in English, lying on a bed, relaxed.
I see some high school students on a train reading English textbooks in Japan.Their faces are serious but sometimes look tired and bored. I think if we want to make studying a habit, we should use interesting materials for each of us.
If you enjoy reading textbooks, that's okay. There is no problem about it. However, if you feel bored and want to quit learning because of stress, you should choose books you really want to read.
There is an old proverb in Japan which says that you should practice what you really like from the bottom of your heart. I like this simple, but amazing proverb.

I've decided to write English on my blog.

I've decided to try to post some articles on my blog in English. Why did I decide to do so? Because I'd like to improve English writing skill as much as possible for better job or translating my games into English or just fun.

I usually create some RPGs using RPGMaker and Unity. One of my games are on sale now, but published only in Japanese language. I had been making several RPGs just as a hobby before I started my small business selling my games on the internet last year, in 2021. Although I didn't earn enough money to make ends meet, I've gained some and that experience makes me very happy.
Writing articles in English is quite difficult for me. I'm not sure whether I can keep practicing or not, but I'll try my best.

By the way, I sometimes get some Japanese messages from other countries. Their Japanese is not as perfect as we Japanese people write. However, I can understand what they write and I don't care about grammatical mistakes. I'm simply glad to read their messages.
In my opinion, learning other languages is good for our brain function. Also learniing other languages may mean accepting cultural differences. I look up to people who try to understand other languages.
